Never heard of Kinusaiga? You’re not alone — and that’s part of the fun!
Kinusaiga is a beautiful Japanese-inspired fabric art technique that uses small pieces of fabric to create colorful, textured designs — with no sewing required. Think of it as a cross between a mosaic, collage, and quilt, created by carefully tucking fabric into your design.
During this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll walk you through the process step-by-step as you learn the basics of Kinusaiga and create your own finished fabric art piece to take home.
No sewing experience or special crafting skills are needed — this workshop is all about slowing down, playing with color and pattern, and trying something new.

We will have some assorted fabrics to select from but if you have SPECIFIC fabrics you would like to use, please bring them with you!
Workshop lasts approx. 2 hours - for ages 12+

Choose a Design for your project (please note pictures are examples only and you will be able to choose the fabrics & colors you use)

**This workshop is for ages 12+. 1 Person per project (2 people CAN NOT work on the same project)

*** Please note this is a specialty workshop - NO REFUNDS! If you can't attend the workshop we will hold onto your project for 60 days for you to come in & create it during one of our upcoming drop in open paint/craft events!
If you cancel within 24 hours of placing your order your FULL reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can ONLY be used for a future workshop.
** You must EMAIL us at: Hammerandstainns@gmail.com if you can not attend a workshop. If you do not show up for a workshop and do not notify us, you forfeit your payment & project.
Once your order has been submitted we are immediately beginning the process of production of your personalized stencil. Due to the customizations of ALL of our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS FOR WORKSHOPS! However, if you cancel with at least 48-hours-notice your FULL reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can ONLY be used for future workshops. Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT get a credit for a future workshop! Please email us (hammerandstainns@gmail.com) to cancel. If you do not show up for a workshop that you have a spot reserved, you forfeit your payment. If you have to cancel we can hold your project for up to 60 days for you to come in and complete at one of our Open Paints/Studio times or to bring home and complete.
